Susty on the streets is exactly as its name implies—taking sustainability to the streets.
Our primary objective is to address the plastic pollution emergency through direct advocacy with everyday people and stimulate behavioural change. We use local language and creative outlets to engage Nigerians in markets, shops and on the street on the importance and methods of a clean and plastic-free environment.
Our Activities
Street Conferences
Our Street Conference is one of our most successful outreach events. We take sustainability advocacy to the streets of Nigeria, engaging in community cleanups and educating community members on the impacts of plastic pollution while supporting them with resources (recycling and upcycling) needed to embrace sustainable living.
Intervibes
Intervibes is our street vox pop campaign, where we interview everyday people, to assess their knowledge and understanding of plastic pollution, climate change and environmental action. These findings generate data which guide our circularity focused interventions and for research purposes.

The Youth Day of Service (YDOS) and SustyVibes Street conference was an avenue to connect and network with link-minded individuals who share similar passion for Planet Earth. The cleanup team, which I joined, was full of vibrant energy and vibes. It was like nothing I had ever seen before. The willingness of volunteers to enter into the gutters just to properly clean up really amazed me, not even the heavy downpour could dampen our spirits. It was truly one of the best displays of vibrancy, tenacity and energy from the Youth. Looking forward to doing more.
