Read2Lead Nigeria is an NGO founded by Ugonma Ogu, with a mission to promote reading among children especially those in primary schools. She does this by assisting schools to build and stock up their libraries for ease of access for the pupils; she also initiates book clubs to make this project sustainable.

On Monday, July 4th, 2016, Read2Lead Nigeria had a presentation ceremony to officially launch this project, I was invited to speak to the pupils on the Importance of Reading and how developing a reading culture would help mold them to become leaders.
Emphasizing on the SDG – Goal 4, I used facts to convince the pupils on why they must read.

The pupils asked very interesting questions about reading, balance with cartoons and storybooks and getting illiterate parents to support them in reading. Thankfully, we were able to answer them.

Ugonma and I presented the books to the pupils who were all so excited and grateful for the donations.
The school management assured us that they would do better in the coming session to promote and enhance the reading culture of the pupils.

I am so excited to be part of this project!
