With the growing concern about climate change and its impact on the environment, education has become more than just reading and math. It’s about teaching our younger generation how to think, learn, and live in harmony with our planet.
Our Susty Schools project aims to do just that. We organize school events to create interactive and fun learning experiences that help children understand and take action for sustainability. So far, we’ve visited over 50 schools in Nigeria and reached more than 5,000 students.
We were thrilled when our work was nominated for the Sustainable Education Champion Award at the 2023 Certified Sustainable Business Global Conference. This annual event is a part of a global movement to promote sustainable practices and protect our planet for future generations.
The award ceremony took place on October 6, 2023, and our Head of Learning and Impact, Opeyemi Ogundeji, represented us at the event. After a thorough evaluation by a panel of nine esteemed judges, we were excited to receive the award. It’s a testament to our dedication to sustainable business practices, outstanding achievements, and our commitment to sustainability, especially through our Susty Schools project.
We’re grateful for this recognition and we look forward to engaging and empowering more students across Nigeria and Africa at large.
