Over 7million people in the countries that surround Lake Chad are living in extreme poverty and depend on food aid for survival. Insurgency, terrorist attacks, and Government corruption are seen as some of the main causes of the extremism in these areas. Tackling Climate-Fragility Risks explores and discusses the possibility of climate change being another factor contributing to this misery.
