The TPL – Susty Party Lagos

A typical Susty party has music, food, drinks and also conversations on the SDGs, these conversations come in diverse themes, the first susty party held in Lagos was centered around a games night and the last Susty party held in Abuja was on Spoken Word Poetry. We understand that the implementation of the SDGs by2030 is heavily dependent on how much young people all over the world embrace them; we want is why our next SustyParty is themed around Dance and some bit of football, yes – dance!

In collaboration with Twitter Premiere League and Freedom Park; we’ll have a party on Sunday – 28th of May, 2017 to celebrate our first year anniversary and also TPL’s third year anniversary. The exciting part of this event is how we plan to create a sustainable synergy on what both brands represent (Football and  Sustainability).

Our venue, Freedom Park has an ambiance that promotes nature and the African experience and also with performances from Qdance center and many more dance groups, we are looking at an event that creates, evaluates, and refines effective music and dance interventions for SDGs awareness in the developing world. In particular, we are looking at how young people can collaborate with their diverse passions and skills to educate more people on the global goals.

These are the SDGs cluster themes the dancers are working with:
Poverty – Goal 1, 2, 3,4
Women Development –  Goal 4 5, 6,13,
Inequality – Goal 5, 7 10, 16
Sustainable Societies –  Goal 8,9,10,11,12
Planet prosperity – Goal 7, 13, 14, 15,17
