SustyVibes is partnering with Street Waste Company Limited Nigeria (Swclng) for the 2nd edition of their Upcycle Tourism Event, scheduled to hold on the 24th of November, 2018 at Johnson Jakande Tinubu Park, Alausa, Lagos.
Street Waste Company Limited works to make a sustainable living a lifestyle for individuals, schools, organisations and government through consultancy services, recycling services, training, waste audit, education and advocacy, oil spill remediation.
The increase in the amount of waste generated daily has necessitated an urgency in critical advocacy to achieving a sustainable environment.
The event aims to teach the public the importance of recycling to make our planet safer. Also aims to promote creative reuse of waste materials and to encourage an attitudinal change in the public towards waste materials.
There will be exhibitions of beautifully crafted upcycled products for sale to showcase how we can use creative ways to make new product of what might seemingly come off as trash. There’d be DIY sessions to teach people how to do this.
