The twitter space event brought experts on climate change communication, activists and comedians together to discuss the role of comedy and humour in climate advocacy

The Twitter space which had 473 live listeners, 14 speakers, 1619 recording replays and a total of 2092 guests tuned in began at 5 pm prompt with an introduction by Jennifer Uchendu and a short question and answer session between Danielle and Dr Pablo followed by a open session for comments featuring speakers such as Olumide Idowu, The Climate Change Book, Agbo Chinonso, Hillary Issac, Lekwa Hope and so on for 30 minutes before the space ended. Among the guests on the space include Gabby Stern – WHO Director of communications and other notable guests in attendance.

Speaker: Dr. Pablo Saurez– The innovation lead at the Red Cross Red Crescent Climate Centre, as well as visiting fellow at Boston University, and artist in residence at the National University of Singapore. Pablo holds a master’s degree in planning, and a Ph.D. in geography.

Moderator: Danielle Alakija– a Climate Activist and former Olympic athlete. She holds a BA(Hons) in Politics and International Relations from the University of Nottingham, as well as a Master of Laws in International Law and Statehood. She was called to the Bar of England and Wales in March 2022 and is a member of the Honourable Society of the Inner Temple.
