SDGs Campus Hangout Series – Bauchi Federal Polytechnic Chapter

We decided to take the second chapter of our SDGs campus hangout series to the Federal Polytechnic Bauchi, where we captured HND II students of Leisure and Tourism Management Department. The documentary “Nowhere to Run” is one of our most watched movie across states in Nigeria, it depicts clearly the environmental issues across different states in the country, showing the level of environmental degradation caused majorly by man-made factors which could have been avoided.

Participants during the movie screening

The participants were enveloped by thoughts on how to positively impact their environment, as expected some decided to hop on the sustainability train with us, suggestions were shared on finding more ways to increase our reach and have more people watch the documentary which of course is an eye-opener.  What we take back from these engagements is the inquisitiveness showed by the participants at the end of a movie screening and the eagerness to do better and make sustainability their watchword.

We will continue to spread the word across universities in Nigeria, as we believe that our future leaders need to be exposed to the happenings around them and also get a chance to be involved in helping our planet, our future can only be secured when the present is Sustained!

Watch out for us, as we may be in your campus next.
