Susty Events – REES Africa’s Walk against Climate Change

Climate change is evident in our world today and we can only but make moves to promote the state of our planet, with collective efforts and an undying urge to make better and informed choices, we believe we can make a change.

On the 5th of May, we joined the good guys at REES(Renewable Energy and Environmental Sustainability) Africa on the walk against climate change in the Ikeja area of Lagos State. The walk was aimed at sensitizing the communicants on ways to help the planet by inculcating sustainable lifestyle practices in their day-to-day activities.

The walk started from the Lagos State Ministry of Environment, Alausa, Ikeja at 7.30am, we held placards with quotes like “Do not ride your uber alone”, “Beat Plastic Pollution”, “No Planet B”, “Reuse, Recycle”, “Climate Change is not a Hoax”. We ended the walk at the Ikeja Secretariat at about 11 am.  It was quite memorable as we got a lot of attention from passers-by who stopped to listen and learn more about Climate Change.
