Meet Elder Desmond Majekodunmi, a Nigerian environmentalist and the chairman of Lekki Urban Forest and Animal Shelter Initiative (LUFASI), who is dedicating his life to safeguarding the planet, starting with conservation. A story Elder Desmond shared about his inspiration for environmental activism began under the embrace of a cashew tree. As a young boy that enjoyed plucking the delicious cashew free of charge and hassle, he marvelled at the wonderful gift of nature (cashew) that could be used for a variety of things.

“The cause of the problem is a lack of love, care, and ignoring the dictates of the good scriptures. And the solution to the problem is more love. Love is all we need.”
