Everything You Need to Know About Our 2022 Street Conference 2022

At SustyVibes, we love our street conferences! Our bespoke project to sensitize Nigerians on environmental protection and sustainable living using the local language. This year, our street conferences will happen simultaneously in seven Nigerian states and will commemorate World Clean Up Day which happens every year on September 17th.

World Cleanup Day (WCD) is a global event that unites millions of volunteers, governments and organisations in 191 countries to tackle the global waste problem and build up a new and sustainable world.  Imagine an event where young people come together to clean up their environment while raising awareness on plastic recycling. At SustyVibes, we have been a part of this event since 2018. Check out pictures from our 2021 WCD event.

This year, we’ve teamed with our partners the Food and Beverage Recycling Alliance, Ecobarter, AlonGreen, EcoChampions, Ministry of Environment, Impluse Recycling, Sam Cleans Iniriatives and the Lagos State Waste Management Authority to hold our Street Conferences in Abuja, Lagos, Ogun, Enugu, Oyo, Port Harcourt and Lagos state on Saturday, 17th September.

This is an opportunity to do your bit for the environment by either cleaning up clogged drainages and waste-filled sites or joining the sensitization team in reaching out to Nigerians and telling them about the impacts of plastic pollution and how to reduce them. Our street conferences (and every other susty event we plan) are fun, exciting and impactful. We will provide safety guidelines before we commence as well as refreshments for all our volunteers. Branded t-shirts will be available for purchase before and on the day of the event.

To Join our 2022 Street Conference in any of the locations, kindly register on this form. We also invite you to donate to this cause even if you cannot physically attend. For more information on the event locations, you can contact our respective team leads as outlined below.
